Framing Help

I have a 3 season room that I am completing. The lower framing is new however the upper rafters are original. I pulled the old ceiling down and I want to run the 2x6 framing all the way to the rafters in order to have a flush wall. Looking at the construction I am not sure how to do this. Can't tell what's on top of the top plate, but I would add studs... line them up with the new ones below. Add a new top plate (sawzall the old verticals out) and bottom plate. If you can't nail the sheathing to the new studs at least glue it to the studs with PL.

Don't forget you will need to add a nailer against the wall (like another rafter) so that your ceiling will have something to fasten to.
