Advice on flooring disaster.
I post this as a request for advice on a disaster because that's how I feel about it. I purchased a home where floors were put in quick and sloppy. The laminate flooring I can't seem to find anymore either.
My issue is that on the doorways, the laminate was not put in properly so there were edges cut wrong or whatever. Looking at the photos, how would you suggest I transition from that laminate to a vinyl floor? I had water damage and had to replace subfloor and decided to do something else with the hallway. I don't want to bring that vinyl floor into the rooms so how do I rectify the situation?
Any advice is appreciated.

Yea, I'd make a straight cut and cover it with the threshold strip. With a threshold strip the cut doesn't even have to be particularly straight.

In both cases I would see vinyl coming through. The laminate does not go far enough to make the transition. That's what I'm asking what else I could do in this situation.
