What size steel I-beam do I need?

I have 2 rooms that I want to build, one 25' x 40', and one 25' x 25'. These rooms will be inside a larger building, but will still need roofs to maintain a constant temperature. We think steel I-beams will work the best, one 25' and one 24', with wood joists to support the roof. We need a guesstimate as to costs to present to the bank, so if someone knows the size these beams would have to be so I can get a price, I would much appreciate it. We have figured the maximum weight on the beams would be 1000 pounds.

Why not go with LVLs? They're cheaper and will do the job. 2x8 SPF rafters 16" O.C. should suffice, maybe even 2x6.

Welcome to the forums.

To give you an answer to your question would require guessing on our part.
You'd need the services of an engineer or a qualified builder.
