Sealing 2x4 when attaching to exterior brick wall?

Was wondering the best way to seal a (PT) 2x4 against an exterior brick wall? At first I was thinking of just using the sill gasket pink foam, not I'm wondering if I should just use construction adhesive instead? I'm going to attach the stud to the brick with tapcons. It's non-load bearing if that matters.

Thanks

It's expanding an interior area of the house aka it's a new exterior wall. So I'd like to seal it for drafts/bugs/moisture, etc. The brick is the exterior of the house that extends inside as an exposed wall.

Yes, construction adhesive would be best.
