Apartment building concrete floor

My plumber had to jackhammer the concrete floor in my 6th floor condo for the conversion from tub to shower only. That floor was 1 inch thick, supported by "1 inch thick, 8 inch high concrete "joists" on top of a 1 inch thick slab. The hole needs to be filled in for the shower basin support. Can I use concrete to fill the voids and not worry about structural issues?

Welcome to the forum.
These condos are a touchy area for renovations, especially when dealing with the floor structure.
My first suggestion is to have a chat with the super and see how others have dealt with the floor. Most supers have a pretty good idea (at least any I've worked with) as to what people have done, what works, what didn't and what is acceptable in the building.

for us to assist, pictures would help a lot.
