Cellular vinyl trim plank molding for fascia?

I'm looking at Royal Moldings 1x6 "cellular vinyl trim plank molding" at HD for my fascia to install across the truss tails (gutters will mount to these). Is this stuff acceptable for this purpose? For my last build I used that rough finish pre-primed trim wood (I call it sponge wood because it's super soft), and most of that stuff is out of stock or not available right now except for short lengths or sizes that are too thin.
It's rated for outdoor, door and window trim, but I'm concerned it may be too squishy to use for gutter board?

You need a 2x across the rafter tails first, then the PVC.
