Grout too low

I just demoed and replaced the bathroom floor tiles and toilet. After 4 days of gruelling work removing the existing tile, installing ply, cement board , cutting multiple tiles and installing , got a bit impatient and did two mistakes (I think) - one of those is related to grout.. (The other issue is related to toilet and posted in the appropriate forum).

I used unsanded grout (Polymer enhanced) , but realize that the grout is too low.

How do I fix it ? Do I need to remove the grout and then regrout or just add more grout on top of existing layer ?

Thanks

What size are your grout joints? Unsanded grout is for 1/8" or less.

You should be able to put another layer of grout on. Just make sure to run your float and sponge at a 45-degree angle to the joints.
