Can you put load on an lvl beam past the support post? (Cantilever)

Could I put joist hangers and some load where the Xs are? Does the 1/4 of beam length rule apply? I’m sure if it is possible it will require more info. I am putting in an island where a load bearing wall is. I want the posts on each side of the island and where load currently ends will be right through where I want to put the island. It would be cantilevered about 2’ and still supported through the basement. Thanks

Yes they can though it is not listed in many span tables. Often, the use of an LVL automatically requires Professional engineering so it will be up to their calculations.
