Know how to raise a bed?
#1

I have a king size bed on a frame. Other than getting a head/footboard does anyone know of a way to get it higher off the ground. I've looked around and it seems all of the casters are the same height. I would like it higher for easier under the bed storage of sweater boxes etc. Thanks

Take the wheels off the frame and set the frame on bricks - not elegant, but you can raise the bed as high as you want.
A little art decoration on the bricks can make it more eye pleasing. Other than that, building a frame (for the frame) seems to be the only option I can think of.
Suggestions, anywone?

i know i've seen leg extenders somewhere (catalog?) that raises the bed 3 or 4 inches, just for better storage underneath. i bet if you search the internet, you could find them.
but you'll still probably want a dust ruffle to hide the stuff you're hiding, so you might as well just use the cinder blocks!! get out your sewing machine, because you'll probably have to make a custom one to get one long enough! (if it's not one thing, it's another!!!)
