Recycling old hifi console

I bought htis hifi console at a garage sale and thought it would make a great outdoor piece-- storage, bar, ice chest??? I started to work on it today, and I'm puzzled as to what to do with it. Any ideas?

It is probably made of interior cabinet plywood. The outside moisture would delaminate it in a few weeks.

Welcome to the forums! What Ray said. BUT it is definitely worth restoring. I have a old RCA Victrola cabinet that housed a flat black and white round TV with a hi fi turn table, etc. It was in pretty good shape. I just removed some of the extraneous dividers where the tv was, installed some nice slider drawers and have been using it in our living room for many years. Still has the dog listening to his master's voice decal on the inside of the door!
Post a couple of pictures of the unit (not close ups) so we can see what you have. We may have some other ideas. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html
