Loose backs on 50's Chrome Kitchen Chairs

I recently purchased a retro dinette set - in excellent condition except when you try to move the chairs, the backs slide off! Any suggestions on a fix? Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I think screws used to hold the cushion to the chrome. Are there holes at the back of the chair? If so, maybe new screws are needed.
If not, maybe try some hot glue and see if that helps.
