Convert Remote Control To Hard Wire Controls On Adjustable Bed
I have an adjustable bed and I'm tired of replacing the batteries in the remote so I want to hard wire controls and toss the remote. Usually, people want to change the hard wire to remote but this is the opposite. I have had no luck researching the subject on t he internet but did find out for the remote there is a plug-in control for the bed that pairs with the remote. I would have to pull the plug-in on the bed that works/pairs with my remote and then somehow hard wire a control directly to the motor on the bed. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I doubt anyone would have experience with that just because as you mentioned....
everyone wants it wireless.... not wired.
There isn't going to be any online info on how to convert to wired.
You won't even find any technical info like schematics on the bed controller.
If you want to post pictures of the control board we can see if there's something that can be modified.

I think you will find replacing batteries to be a small price to pay versus re-engineering the control system to be wired. As Norm mentioned, lithium batteries are a good option.

I ended up buying a complete remote system from some small company in California, installed it and it works gret now. As for buying a new adjustable bed, I would buy one that has been 'around for awhile" and the parts are going to be available for several years. If worse comes to worse, one could purchase an extra remote. The problem even there is they are pricey, the guy in CA wanted $125.00 for an extra remote and I declined. A remote to me at least is little more than a TV remote, just configured differently within.
