Hairstyling chair won't stay up
I have a Takara Belmont electric/hydraulic hairstyling chair that keeps sliding down when in the up position. I have replaced the hydraulic hose, checked the cap on the oil reservoir, and tightened the nut holding the shaft, but the seat still will not stay up. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Welcome to the forums.
Moved thread to closest matching forum.
That company makes many different variations of commercial lift chairs.
We'll need the model number to look up service info.
If it was the shaft seal leaking.... you'd see oil leaking.
There must be some type of check valve to keep the seat up. It's either manually released by hitting some pedal or it's electrically released by hitting some switch.
