Wobbly Bookcase Repair

I have a horizontal bookcase that someone made that wobbles from side to side. I tried putting corner braces on 4 (out of 8) corners hoping this would solve the problem but it has not. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue so that the bookcase is stable? Would putting 4 more brackets on the back corners fix this problem?

Thanks.

If the bookcase has a back on it, the back is what keeps it square. So you would just need to add more fasteners to it, through the back side of the backing, and into the top, bottom, and sides. Other than that, can't really tell much without photos of how its constructed.

do all four corners touch the ground or is that what's wobbling? You might also be describing that the cabinet is stable on the ground but it is not solid as a box. That is where the description of checking the back of the cabinet is important. make sure the back of the cabinet is solidly attached to the top, bottom and sides.

Think of a a 4 sided box. you can put in as many corner braces as you want but unless there is a back panel, it will lean side-to-side.
