How do I remove this board in the way or are you supposed to just press the floor through with something that will bend a little? Idk what happened to the floor. Took it off someone's lawn.

Hello! I need advice on how to repair a broken sofa leg. For the record, I'm not much of a DIY-er, but I don't want to purchase a new sofa right now, so I'd like to attempt to repair it. I notice that my sofa was leaning this morning. So, I lifted the couch up and attempted to unscrew the leg that was bent. When trying to unscrew it, the entire leg came off along with a piece of wood! Can this be salvaged? Or am I going to have give in and buy a new couch? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
