Recliner tension spring broke

I have a flex steel chair and the tension spring broke and fell off. Obtained a replacement spring from dealer but they have no diagram on where to install it? Factory no help…YouTube says to look for signs of wear on the mechanism but I cannot find any. Does anyone have any ideas? The service company will gladly come out to replace the spring for $150 which I feel is outrageous! Thanks

They are usually a pair of them, can you find the second one?

Flip the chair completely on it's back so you can see up into the base. The spring will go in there. They are usually in pairs so you should see a spring on one side and an empty spot where the replacement goes on the other side.
