This single male has inherited a wonderful china cabnet. It matches my
dinner table and chairs so that's great. However, I have nothing to
display/store in the 2 shelves on top. There is a mirror behind the top
shelves with the shelf being glass.
So I'm looking for ideas on what I can place in the upper part. Any
ideas? Right undernear the top parts is a row of pigeon holes which can
be used to store wine bottles. A friend suggested filling the cabnet
shelves with wine glasses but that a lot to fill.
Any ideas?

I'm attempting to create a new look for an old table. I liked the wrought-iron-looking base so kept that, but got rid of the ugly wood/melmac top. I've purchased a rectangular (40x60) glass top as a replacement, but don't know the best (most aesthetic way) to go about this. The table base has 5 posts with screw holes in it, originally attaching it to the wood top (they all branch out from a center base )... What can I put on those posts to prevent scratching the glass, while at the same time creating a decorative element? Where would I find the material I need? I've tried rubber bumpers, but want something more interesting.
