Can I refinish a pickled cabinet

Can I refinish a pickled cabinet
I have this oak (white) pickled cabinet, which I have had for about
12 years. It looks as though it has lost the pickle look. What kind of finishes can I do on this, or can I refinish it at all. It is a contemporay cabinet and I was thinking of getting a new dining room set in a missionary style. I still really like it but the dining set is a dark red oak stain. Please advise

I would be best to first clarify the cabinet finish. By "pickled" I assume you mean it's a natural wood finish coated with a semi-transparent (thin) coat of paint. Close? If you are sure it is a wood finish, you have many options, including painting, stripping, restaining. If you want my advice, don't try staining it dark to match the dining room set.
Pickled finishes are "in style" today. How about a good cleaning and polish?
