refinishing or replacing veneer

I have a chest of drawers I would like to refinish. It has a unique 3-way mirror that fits on top. Only the drawers have veneer, and they have some small splits and missing pieces. Can I sand off or peel off the old and buy precut sheets to glue on?

Yes. You can buy veneer at lowes or places such as: rockler.com.

Hope this helps.
