Hi there I was wondering if anyone knows if I can stain or paint my current funiture to have the look of the matte finish funiture in black from pottery barn

If you can locate the finish that you want, you can apply it to your furniture. Clean the furniture thoroughly with mineral spirits to remove grease, grit, and grime. Prime with Zinsser 123, then apply the finish. It may take two coats for good coverage. Don't skimp on the quality of the finish paint or the brushes involved.
