Chair rail paint rubbed off on chairs

Help! I have white paint streaks on the back of most of my wooden dining room chairs. The paint rubbed off on the chairs when they were placed against the chair rail in that room. I've tried Murphy's Oil Soap to remove it, Goo Gone, and Lemon Oil polish. Nothing is working. I am planning on selling the set and need to make it look good as new. This is good furniture from Ethan Allen. Any advice?

Paint Thinner and fine steel wool will work. Keep the piece wet while lightly rubbing with the steel wool.

Mr Clean

The talk of the town now, is that miracle Mr Clean sponge, its about a buck a piece, comes in a two pack but this stuff easily removed crayon from walls and the cracks on rough surfaces like vinyl...ect....and, if you have young ones, better get a twelve pack!
