Question Clear Finish for Dining Table

I have an old pine dining table that has been stripped and sanded. It will not be stained.
What clear satin finish would you suggest that is somewhat stainproof? I want the table to remain the same natural pine color , not a slight amber color. Also non yellowing.
I have just bought a can of Varathane Professional Clear finish, 1100 Satin, but I haven't opened it yet because I don't know if the result will be clear.
Thank you.

The Varathane product you mentioned is oil-based and will yellow.

Try a water-based product for true clarity and non-yellowing. Such as:

Pine will naturally yellow and darken with exposure to light. It is the nature of the wood.

Hope this helps.
