Paint vs. spray kitchen table/chairs
Hi,
I have a white table and 4 chairs that I plan to paint black. I don't want to see brush marks, and also I want to ensure that the paint is durable for kitchen use. Do you recommend spraying? If so, what models/manufacturers would you recommend? Also, I'm wondering if I need to apply varnish to the table top after painting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Spraying will eliminate the brush marks. There are several manufacturers of good spray equipment, starting around $1000. I have heard all manner of comments about the cheap spray equipment, such as the Wagner $100 units. I don't have any reason to recommend them.
It is just a matter of good brushing technique and good brushes to eliminate the brush marks from painting.
Paint provides its own durable finish, so that varnish or such is unnecessary.
