Antique Bamboo Chair

I HAVE JUST BEEN GIVEN A 100+ YEAR OLD BAMBOO CHAIR. IT SEEMS TO BE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE BUT IS BADLY SCRATCHED & DIRTY. HOW DO I "REFINISH" THIS JEWEL?....i.e. CLEAN, REMOVE SCRATCHES & REPLACE SEAT "WEBBING" WHICH IS IN VERY BAD SHAPE.

I'M TRULY A BEGINNER SO ANY HELP WOULD BE SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. AND, I'M NOT AFRAID OF HARD WORK!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Typing in all capital letters makes reading difficult.

Start by cleaning the wood finish with some spic and span and see how it looks once it is clean.

What is the composition of the webbing?
