Dark wood paneling refinish while on wall
I live in a trailer with veneer dark wood paneling. Is there any way to bleach/sand it to finish in honey color to update? It is not plastic, but real wood veneer with a light coat of factory poly from the factory in 1969. Weird, but this large trailer is mint, like no one lived here. Hey - viva la vintage! Glenna in Florida
P.S. Any other finish ideas welcome, however I would like to keep the cozy cabin/boat-like feel.

I doubt you can significantly lighten the color of the paneling. I don't know for sure if you can use stripper on paneling [ I would expect that it might cut through the veneer] That leaves only 2 options paint or extra lighting so the walls don't feel as dark as they are.

i refinished a doctor's office walls once, although going from light to bing cherry colour. you can strip the walls, although it will be messy and if you have carpet, well, good luck. it is doable, just depends on how much effort
you wish to expend. it took the two of us 12 hours each over three days
to strip, sand and finish the walls. we were spraying on the finish, laquer.
post more info please.
