How to get cherry color on cabinet

I am searching for certain piece of furniture for my small bathroom, like a storage tower or something to that effect. I am only finding white. Is it possible to paint over the white with something that would match a cherry vanity? What about an oak veneer, can I paint over that? Would it be better since it has a grain to it? I have seen some free standing cabinets that are oak. Thanks!

There are colors that might come close to a natural cherry finish, but there would be no graining effect. But there are ways to make a garin look with paints, but it takes some practice. Try a paint store, not big box. If possible, one that specializes in furniture refinishing.

Have you checked with your local unfinished furniture shops? Some will customize in stock items to meet your needs. Most will also apply stain and finish for extra $s.
