looking weatherd?..

Lightbulb looking weatherd?..

has anyone ever painted anything to make it look weathered?.. i have this old farm table that the ppl left us when they moved, and my son sanded it down and i thought it would look really neet to paint it to look weatherd.. but i cant remember if u put the darker paint on first or the lighter paint?..

there are many ways to do it. you could even just use one paint and sand thru to reveal the wood underneath, or you can paint one color then another & sand thru to reveal the base color, OR you can paint one color and then dry brush another color on top just in certain places. also, you can paint one color and then with a rag, rub on some stain or dark paint (NOT KOOL-AID) in areas to "dirty it up" a bit.

i suggest you practice several techniques on some scrap wood before committing.
