Pool Table Restoration

I have an antique (1928) pool table that I'd like to restore. The finish doesn't seem too bad. But I'm not sure where to begin on this. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Here are some photos of the pool table so that you can get an idea of the condition. (follow this link...)

Unless you are considerably past the novice stage, I would leave this one to the pros, or at least consult one as to how best to proceed.

I've never done restoration work before. Does this thing even need much work? Can I just do some repairs? Like some of the suggestions over here:

Any thoughts? Thanks.
