shellac removal

i need to remove recently applied amber shellac from oak plywood. Denatured alchohol doesn't seem to touch it, any advise would be appreciated, thanks

It happens sometimes, but not often, that shellac bonds exceptionally well.

Try Lacquer thinner - it should do the trick and it's cheaper than stripper.

PS - the traditional mix for some older shellacs that were exceedingly hard to remove was 50-50 denatured alcohol and lacquer thinner...
