Fish Eyes in the Polyurehane!
I applied clear polyurethane to an old table top and what I got when it dried was little voids (fish eyes) 1/2" apart. It was a new can. What happened? What do I do next?

Fish eyes are a sign of contamination of your surface or the product - given it was a new can, the surface looks like the culprit
How did you prepare the table for the poly?
By the way, welcome to the forums

Could the table top have had wax on it and instead of removing it with the paint thinner, you just smeared it around? by not folding or rinsing the rag often enough
Providing the poly got a decent bond, the fix would be to sand it down [removing the fisheyes] wipe down with a damp thinner rag to remove the dust and apply another coat of poly.
