Hi People! how is everyone?

Just bought this wardrobe from a friend.

The wood is find but the film is coming off. Anyone know what is this film and how I can replace it?

Welcome to the forums!

How old is the piece? has it been refinished?

Thanks marksr !

sorry, I don't know how old it is or has it been refinished but integrity of the wood is amazing. I've never seen wood of this quality. Functionality of the wardrobe is fine, I wonder if it's a layer of paint coming off, hmm?

i know, my wife is going to complain about the cosmetic look of this piece haha

Yikes, that drawer front looks bad
Since it's got particle board, it can't be all that old. It does appear to be a colored finish that was sprayed on and for some reason didn't adhere well. If it's only the one drawer, I'd strip that drawer front and work with stain and tinted poly to try and match the rest of the piece.
