Question Medicine cabinet is rusty

I removed lot of rusts from the medicine cabinet in my bathroom and I'll use rust-oleum protective enamel. How many times. Can I use minwax oil-modified polyurethane clear gloss to protect it? Thanks

I'd recommend Rustoleum specialty applicance epoxy paint. If you need to recoat, apply 2 or 3 light coats a few minutes apart. Don't put oil based polyurethane over paint, it will yellow.

I've always used a solvent base primer after sanding and then whatever appropriate colored oil base enamel I had on hand. No need for poly! Primer and oil enamel is all that is needed. The epoxy linked above will work well although over kill IMO.
