how do you make an aged paint finnish? I want a distressed look where stained wood is seen on the edges of the furniture and coming through other sites.

Im no expert with this stuff ...but i have seen somthing similar done. 1st a basecoat.....Then wax areas to be disressed....Then topcoat/contrating colour.....Then wire wool over the areas that have been waxed. Because the topcoat cannot adhere to the wax easily,it is easily rubbed away to create an aged effect.....Hopefully..The experts will follow coz I find this stuff interesting!!

Thumbs up Your right!

Thats one way to do it. Somewhere else on this board I wrote how to do it. I have also done it by sanding the usually well worn areas.
