How to ensure I'm buying quality tools for building lodgepole furniture?

I want to buy my son tools to make lodgepole furniture and I don't know how ensure that I'm buy quality tools. I searched for reviews and all that came up were sites selling the tools. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

Anything I've ordered from this company worked as advertised.
Grizzly.com
There rarely used so the customer base may just be so limited it's hard to find any reviews.
(just a guess on my part)

This summer I spotted some of these tools for sale at a log home store & was shocked at how expensive they are. Good tools are worth it in the long run. Before spending hundreds on giant pencil sharpeners I would ask myself "is he committed to making a living with these tools--or tinker a bit & quit?"

Thank you for your responses. My son is an immpecable carpenter, studying Construction Mgmt, whose dream is to build lodge pole furniture, even though I keep trying to convince him to build tree houses. And, should he just dabble and quit using the tools, I will just have to put them to use myself.
