I've sanded smooth and primed an entertainment center that I've made. I rolled on water baced acryllic enamal with a 1/4 inch nap. I can't seem to get a smooth surface. Can i sand the enamal after it has hardend or dose it need to dry smooth? Help Please. Thanks.

You may want to repost this question in the painting forum, but for what it's worth I believe the 1/4" nap is too short. Acrylic enamels dry fairly quickly, and they need a little time to 'flow out' and become smooth.

You'll need to sand the finish out after it dries to restore its smoothness, then roll it again with a longer nap - say 3/8" to put more product on the furface.
