Hi All, not sure if this the right forum, but I have an old comfortable Berkline recliner that the foot rest will not latch in the down position and I am trying to find a way o adjust it some how.
Thanks Geo

Sometimes it's worn pivot points or even a rivet at a pivot point that's broken completely. I'd flip the chair on it's side and remove the fabric covering the bottom. Move the lever and foot rest through it's range of motion wiggling and inspecting where each linkage connects. They are usually just steel rivets in a hole. If one is too loose or completely missing they can sometimes be drilled out and replaced with a bolt.
