what cind (Kind) of wood is this dresser

im working on refinishing a old dresser I have I got dow past the sane and the wood has two coerls to it for the life of me cant figure out what cind of wood it isName:  IMG_20140531_115703_384.jpg

It appears to be a combination of pine and poplar (greenish color). Have you considered using a chemical stripper to remove the remainder of the existing finish? May be easier with less gouging. Or are you just going to refinish the top?
