Table saw belt drive

My Grizzly 10" 1.5 HP table saw is belt driven. The pulley on the motor has come lose. I have tightened the screw that hold the pulley on the motor as much as I can using a socket wench and it will not hold. Nothing seems to be broken. How can I make the pulley stay put?

Welcome to the forums.

The pulley should fit on the shaft fairly snugly. If it's too loose no amount of tightening the setscrew will help.

Is there a flat on the motor shaft ?

Better still on a 1.5HP motor there should be a slot cut in both the pulley and motor shaft, with a tight-fitting key inserted to lock the 2 together. The setscrew is only there to keep the pulley from walking off the shaft--the key is what locks the pulley from spinning. Maybe yours got past final inspection and left Taiwan without the key.

Best white caulk for baseboard molding? and nail hole filler?

I'm finishing up a bedroom and now it's time to caulk and seal the gaps on the baseboard and quarter round that is installed above wood laminate flooring. I need a caulk that is easy to apply, bright white and will never fade and one that doesn't shrink or separate from the walls over time. Not sure what brand, what type or what model of caulk to use? I see so many different kinda of caulk, but nothing specific to baseboads.. I also need something to fill the gaps of all my brad nail holes. Some type of putty or? I used pure white behr marquee in semi gloss, so something that will match that is what I need and never fade to yellow. Trying to do a high quality job on my home projects, so I don't want to just use whatever is cheap, I want to use the best caulk I can. Repair wood swivel chair

I have a kitchen table and chairs set made of an indeterminate "hardwood". The chairs have no padding, have casters and swivel. The swivel mechanism connects to the chair section via a metal plate and is secured to the chair by four wood screws. #1 Son (6'5") tilts back in his chair such that the two wood screws towards the front of the chair have pulled out of the wood and won't catch in their holes anymore. We're a family of five and we started with six chairs; now we're down to four. I'm ok with making him sit on a milk crate, but no, Mom insists he still deserves a chair. (Added benefit of the milk crate: I'm taller than him when he sits on it!) So I am looking for options to repair these chairs. My ideas: 1) Remove the plate, fill in the holes with wood putty or some other magical substance, redrill and replace screws. 2) Drill new holes through the metal plate into the wood chair bottom.
