Fix ping pong table

folks

i have a hinge at the back of my foldable ping pong table and some of the small screws, maybe 1/4 inch are going in but they keep rolling which tells me the thread is no longer good. Is there any wood filler that I can use to fix this or do I need to drill completely new holes in the wood?

Thanks

It isn't the threads that are bad but rather the hole being wallowed out. Would it be a big deal to move the hinges?

Can you use a wider or longer screw? Sorry, your picture didn't quite explain this to me. A common solution is to fill the hole by gluing in a piece of wood - dowel, golf tee, ... based on the size of the hole - and then drilling a new hole for the screw.
