Securing glass panel in older Curio cabinet

I have an older curio cabinet from my grandmother. I think it's from 1940. I replaced a glass pane, but when I went to install it, I had some issues. It had one rut on the left side to slide the glass in, but the right side had a small piece of wood with little nails in it. The wood was detoriating and broke in half. The other glass panes have the same issue. What is a good way to secure the glass?

There are many ways to do this. Could you post a few pictures, both of the one you removed and an original?

If you do a search for -
Rockler (a company) and Glass Retainers
You will see the type you want, which is a small quarter round. They have both wood and plastic. Plastic is easier to nail or staple.
