Repair scratches

Hi guys. I just got a executive desk from Craigslist. It made from cherry wood. There are scratches here and there, in good condition and some tape on it. What shouod I do to fix it? link to the picture below. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/zip/5293119492.html

I don't know a lot about them but they sell dark furniture polish and that might be enough to hide the scratches.

I've not had to deal with old stubborn water rings so I don't know all the tricks [you google many of them] The dark colored polish is still probably your best bet on the light scratches ...... unless you want to strip and refinish.
