High quality sandpaper

Getting tired of these 'top quality heavy-durable' sandpaper that either loses its grit in a minute, or the paper is so thin, that it tears just as quick.

Can any of you guys tell me you #1 choice of sandpaper? Hand sanding and electric sanding are the applications; using the various grits of paper.

Edit - I should mention too, I am in Canada, so brands sold here I am looking to buy. Stuff on Amazon.ca I would buy too.

I've never paid a lot of attention to the brand but always preferred red garnet paper. Aluminum oxide is ok for a cheaper price.

I have always used Norton sandpaper even back in the days when I owned a body shop and never had a problem.

Now that I think of it, Norton is the brand usually offered at the various paint stores.

I only use Mirka Brand that I buy on Amazon.
To me it does not load up as much as other papers then doing jobs like stripping poly.

Teak outdoor table sealing

[left]Hi there, my husband and I bought a teak outdoor patio table from Jysk for our deck. We noticed it had a light stain applied to it but felt it needed a good clear sealant to weather and UV protect it and preserve its new appearance. We went to Home Depot and came up with Thompson’s Water Sealing which looked like it would do the job. We applied a coat and it dried for 24 hours. When it was dry i ran my hands over it a few times and was concerned because a small amount of yellow was coming off. Then it rained a few days later and as the water pooled on it i wiped it off with a white rag towel and when I squeezed it out the water was yellowish. Also noticed some small yellow stain spots on our new outdoor rug underneath. The next day i noticed some slight water damage spots and the table definitely looks like its lost its new appearance.
