Wood Dye?

In good old days one could go and buy a little paper bag with dye in it. Not any more? I'm searching and searching the net but nothing turns up.
Do you know a source of wood dye?

A quick search brought up this - https://www.woodcraft.com/categories/dyes-pigments.

I've only used wood dye a handful of times over the years, any special reason you want to use it rather than a penetrating stain?

Thanks for replies. I studied the differences between dye and stain and decided I want dye. Home Depot? I visited their web site and a search for dye turned up nothing ... now I see they call them pigments. Go figure.
