Weathered teak furniture

I have a weathered teak table and 4 chairs that I would like to recondition. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the water marks before I apply teak oil?

A noob ? about wood finish care: why isn't treated like plastic?

I've done some simple wood projects and then coat it in polyurethane finish. I guess there's other finishes that don't fit in to this question (which brings up another question #2 below). 1) Polyurethanes are basically plastic? And non-porous after a couple coats? At that point, can you just use windex / fantastic like you would on a plastic / formica? / metal surface? What's the 'furniture polish' type of care item help when you are dealing with a plastic surface? and the 2nd question I realized as I typed this. 2) Is there a distinction between porous and non porous finishes? Those that actually let the cleaning / care product get into the wood? vs. 'yeah, 'it's wrapped in plastic now... go ahead and use windex'? Thanks!Read More

Refinishing Table Mistake Help!

I think I made a mistake while sanding the top of my end table. (Please see attached image) This is my first attempt at refinishing a piece of furniture. After sanding a particular area of the table, I now have these ugly looking marks. I would like to hopefully be able to address these marks before staining.
