Cabinet broke apart.... is there any hope?!

Hi, I have this wood cabinet that is one of 4 pieces that make up my headboard. Unfortunately one part or the cabinet was damaged while moving and ultimately broke apart. I would love to repair the part however I’m not too sure if it’s salvageable or what type of wood would be needed. If anyone can lend some advice I’m more than willing to listen

Cheap partial board material, no way to repair, pitch it!

As noted above it's not really repairable. A cheap not necessarily nice fix would be to attach a piece of wood to the back side of the broken area and secure it to both the stable piece and then attach the broke off piece to it. The break would still be visible but it would be usable [assuming there is room behind for the support piece.
