Cracked interior door around flush bolt

My kids are clumsy as hell. Can I repair this using wood or gorilla glue?

You would probably need to take it down, lay it on some sawhorses, remove the flush bolt, and then use wood glue and a combination of various clamps to squeeze it together. Squeeze as much glue as you can into the crack... maybe run a toothpick along the crack to force it in. Have a clean rag and some hot water to clean off any glue that squeezes out when you clamp it.

Looks like you would need one 36" bar clamp to squeeze the bottom couple inches together. You can probably do the rest with maybe 3 c-clamps... put a scrap of wood on each side of the door to protect it from getting dented.

I'd leave them on overnight.

make sure you use a polyurethane type glue (Gorilla glue). You might want to consider Franklin International 1414 Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue. Test show this t be the strongest.

FWIW...Gorilla glue will adhere to more substances but Titebond III gives a better wood to wood bond.
