black stains on cherry veneer table top
#1

I have just stripped down a cherry veneer table top and have found that there are some black stains. I am not sure if they are burns or not. How do I remove these? Also on the corner of the table there is a chunk of veneer missing 1"x1" do you know how to repair this also? Thank-you very much for your time!!

If they are burn marks you'll probably be able to feel a difference in the textureof those areas as opposed to the wood around it.
Repairing veneer is not difficult. For all the information you need, go to the web site below and ask for their catalog. It contains instructional material on a wide variety of furniture repair (including veneer) as well as the materials you'll need to get the job done.
