metal outdoor furniture
#1
I have a metal table and chairs that have rusted a little. It has the original paint that it had over 50 years ago. What would be the best product to use to take off the rust and the white paint?

If (with the exception of the rusted spots) the paint is in reasonably good shape you don't need to remove it - just sand and repaint with a good lexterior enamel. I'd use Krylon or a similar product in aerosol - it's a lot easier to get a streak free finish.
As foo rthe rust, your local hardware store or home center should stock a product called naval jelly. It's excellent for removing rust from metal.
Handle with care - the active ingredient is phosphoric acid.
