Stripping Cabinets

I am currently refurbishing my Kitchen cabinets rather than buy new ones. My question is what is the best approach to getting 3 layers of paint off 1 lead based and two latex. I have a 15 month old and sanding is almost out of the question. Any suggestions??

Dresser question

I'm refinishing an oak dresser (varnish, no paint) and have a question. I can't seem to remove the varnish from the sides of the top piece. I've used denatured alcohol, stripper, steel wool, scrubbies, brass brush, tooth brush, everything I can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've run into this problem before with end pieces of tables. Two sides strip well and two don't. Thanks, PatRead More
