Distressing furniture
#1

Hi to all,
I usually strip my furniture, but on an old "garden" table I put a coat of fresh paint, to distress, do I just want to sandpaper it a little, I plan on stenciling it a little also, any ideas? I don't really want to "crackle" it. Thanks for any info!

Sandpapering where wear would normally occur (edges and corners) will give the piece a worn look. An easier way to accomplish this is to wipe off freshly applied paint at the same areas, instead of waiting for it to dry and then sanding it off.
